You OVERHEARD this? Wow…
It sounds like an abstract illustration of “clouds without rain”.
It’s much easier to say something like, “I will marry you if you first list all of the multiples of 7.”
However, it may be beneath him to use an example from arithmetic since he obviously knows a few terms from high school algebra.
